Co-founder of LandBank Equity Investments, LLC, Mark has extensive experience and expertise in identifying and creating opportunistic real estate investments for accredited investors.
He is consistently recognized for his ability to research, identify and purchase distressed and undeveloped properties in markets prime for future growth.
Mark has more than three decades experience in real estate development as an urban planner and development consultant.
He has in-depth understanding of the mechanics -- and all the ins and outs -- of property acquisition, design, engineering and entitlement management. He applies this expertise to create value and achieve significant investment returns.
Ferris has been responsible for the design and construction of hundreds of projects throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has assisted in the preparation of master plans for mixed-use developments which range from 40 to 3,600 acres. Mark has worked directly with developers to evaluate physical, regulatory,socio-political, market and economic factors which influence the successful completion of their projects. Earlier, he gained experience in site-specific design for a variety of projects. These include schools, campus master plans, resorts, visitor centers, parks, hospitals, numerous commercial/residential facilities, and a variety of innovative residential developments.
He has, and does, work closely with investors, developers, government agencies, special interest groups and the general public. All this is accomplished within a consensus-building process to insure successful private sector projects. He is knowledgeable in all phases of development processes. Mark knows techniques of land acquisition, due-diligence, the conducting of feasibility studies to examine alternative development strategies, how to increase marketability and property values and more. He is also expert in site planning and the implementation of innovative site improvements to insure cost-effective projects. Throughout his career, he has successfully prepared land use applications, obtained regulatory approvals and worked closely with local officials and regulatory agencies.
Gabriel J. Sugarman

Gabe has been a leading Northwest building contractor, real estate developer and investor since the early 1970s. As a builder, he specialized in single-family residences, apartment buildings, warehouses, office complexes, duplexes, condominiums and even RV parks.
As a real estate developer, Gabe specialized in the acquisition and development -- through all regulatory approvals -- of large-scale residential communities in Oregon and Washington. He found, negotiated purchases, acquired properties, undertook all phases of development planning, obtained regulatory approvals, and then sold his holdings to builders ... including some of the nation's largest homebuilding firms. Gabe has worked with LandBank fellow principal Mark Ferris on a variety of projects.
He has amassed a well-deserved reputation in the real estate industry for imaginative building and development. His expertise includes a keen eye for locating properties, site evaluation, selection and supervision of land-use planners, presentation of projects for approval to regulatory agencies, packaging of developments for sale, and marketing.
Gabe has been a Street of Dreams builder, president of the Multnomah County, Oregon Home Builders, a board member for the Oregon Home Builders, and a director for Metropolitan Portland, State and National Home Builders organizations.
As a full-time property developer, he became known for innovative marketing techniques, including the editing and production of a newsletter to the industry. He buys, he builds, he develops.
